Notes & Condition Report
A saccharometer is a hydrometer, used for measuring sugar levels in a solution
This saccharometer is for measuring the alcohol proof/level of Dutch gin
There are 8 accompanying weights
One weight is engraved with P.D hollande (Preuve d'Hollande)
Preuve is 'proof' and D'hollande is 'Dutch gin'
If I have this correct: the first number on the weights are parts water and the second parts alcohol
3/6 is an average strength, but 3/7 is more desirable
These weights can also, I believe, be used for Cognac
Not hallmarked
Good condition
Without damage or repair
