Engraved with a contemporary Coat-of-Arms containing 3 die,
belonging to Vincent Mathias of London and Lamphrey Court, Llangwarren, Pembrokeshire.

Vincent Mathias was sub-treasurer in the Queen's household and treasurer of Queen Anne's Bounty.
He died on the 15th June 1782, aged 71.
Married to Marianne (1724-1799), daughter of Alured Popple, secretary to the board of trade and governor of Bermuda.
His son Thomas James (1754?-1835), satirist and Italian scholar, friend and tutor of the Prime Minister, Spencer Perceval.
